Water & The Human Body

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruits in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:3

How much water must I drink daily?

If you’re a man, take about 13 cups of total beverages every day. If you’re a woman, it’s 9 cups.

Water is critically important for our bodies to function optimally. Just look at the following facts:
• Your brain is 75% water
• Bones are 22% water
• Muscles are 75% water
• Your blood is 92% water

Does your body need water? Absolutely! Not just any water but good, clean water. But what is water? Is it H2O or something else? If you ever wonder what you are drinking from the tap daily in Singapore, scroll down for the complete list.

We ingest these chemicals from our tap water every day and even use it to make drinks and cook food. What do these do to the human body? They have the power to cause cancer and suffering. The only answer to this is to get a filter that gets rid of these chemicals, especially fluoride!

What Chemicals Are You Drinking?
It has been said that you either get a filter, or be a filter! If you do not have a proper water filter, then your body must do the job. As with most filters, the chemicals remain in the filter. So what exactly is your body filtering that remains inside? Here is a list:

Promotes cell life by transporting nutrients

Water participates in the biochemical break-down of what we eat and transports essential nutrients such as minerals, vitamins and glucose to your cells.

Removes body waste

Water removes waste including toxins rejected by organ cells and removes them through urines and faeces, thus improving metabolism.

Regulates body temperature

Water limits drastic changes in your body temperature caused by a warm or cold environment due to its large heat capacity. It allows the body to release heat when ambient temperature is higher than body temperature. Your body begins to sweat and when the water that evaporates from the skin surface efficiently cools your body.

Lubricates joints

Water lubricates your joints effectively and also acts as shock absorber for eyes, brain, spinal cord and even for the foetus through amniotic fluid.

Do You Know?

Your body has to filter out 70 different chemicals if you do not use a water filter. Most of these remain in your body including fluoride, a catalyst for cancer.
